Gavin has always enjoyed the reward of seeing ideas come to fruition. As the Business Development Manager in his family agricultural business, he relished the opportunity of growing their distribution from a “startup” to one of the leading distributors in South Africa of agricultural and stock feed products.
His sales experience in banking for Barclays and in FMCG for MARS introduced him to many of the challenges that present themselves in the more formal and traditional business spaces.
Whether in his family business or co-founding a boutique investment fund for HNWI or launching his own online retail brand, he has always focused on ensuring clients where front and center to what was delivered on a daily basis. Gavin believes the key to this is a stimulating, growth orientated environment for their people. Fulfilled, motivated and valued staff have a direct and tangible impact on the quality of delivery clients and customers experience. He strongly believes in today’s economy despite the “need for speed” we are moving away from a transactional environment to a relationship-based experience.
And this is where he enjoys bringing his fusion of corporate and start up experience to empower his clients with services that focus on
- Increased team cohesion and performance
- Improved service delivery and client retention
- Motivating and developing sales teams
- Uniting management teams
- Change management
- One to one executive coaching
